- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
- Chopped green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a large bowl, combine vegetable oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Toss the chicken wings in this mixture until evenly coated.
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer on the rack.
- In a medium saucepan, combine orange juice, soy sauce, honey, sriracha sauce, and rice vinegar. Stir well.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth. Slowly whisk into the simmering sauce and cook for another 2-3 minutes until thickened.
- Taste the sauce and adjust the heat level if necessary.
- Bake the wings for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- About 10 minutes before the wings are done, brush them with the spicy orange sauce and return to the oven.
- Ensure wings are crispy and have an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Place wings in a large bowl and pour remaining sauce over them. Toss gently to coat.
- Transfer wings to a serving platter and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the wings in the spice mixture and some of the sauce for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight.
