Description
A vibrant and refreshing martini with citrus vodka, pink lemonade, Cointreau, and grenadine for a sweet and tart flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ ounces Citrus Vodka (lemon or grapefruit infused preferred)
- 1 ounce Pink Lemonade (store-bought or homemade)
- ½ ounce Cointreau (or other orange liqueur)
- ½ ounce Fresh Lemon Juice
- ¼ ounce Grenadine
- Ice
- Lemon wedge or twist, for garnish
- Sugar, for rimming the glass (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Glass (Optional): If desired, rim a martini glass with sugar. Pour a thin layer of granulated sugar onto a small plate. Moisten the rim of the glass with a lemon wedge or simple syrup. Dip the rim in the sugar, rotating until coated. Shake off excess sugar and chill the glass in the freezer for a few minutes.
- Chill the Shaker: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Add Ingredients: Pour the citrus vodka, pink lemonade, Cointreau, fresh lemon juice, and grenadine into the shaker.
- Shake Well: Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until well-chilled.
- Strain: Remove the prepared martini glass from the freezer (if you chilled it). Double strain the martini into the glass.
- Garnish: Garnish with a lemon wedge or twist.
Notes
- Adjust Sweetness: Add more grenadine or simple syrup for a sweeter martini, or more lemon juice for a tarter one.
- Vodka Variations: Experiment with raspberry, strawberry, or vanilla vodka.
- Mocktail Version: Omit the vodka and Cointreau and replace them with sparkling water or club soda. Add a splash of white grape juice for sweetness.
- Homemade Pink Lemonade: For the best flavor, use homemade pink lemonade.
- Chill Ingredients: Ensure all ingredients are well-chilled before mixing.
- Don’t Over-Shake: Over-shaking can result in a watery drink.
- Garnish Creatively: Use fresh berries, edible flowers, or candy for a unique garnish.
