  • Author: Dottie
  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4-6 servings 1x

Description

This Honey Garlic Pork Tenderloin features tender pork marinated in a sweet and savory blend of honey, soy sauce, and garlic, then roasted to perfection for a caramelized finish. It’s an easy and flavorful dish, ideal for both weeknight dinners and special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 pounds pork tenderloin
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, olive oil, black pepper, salt, apple cider vinegar, and sesame oil (if using) until smooth.
  2. Marinate the Pork: Place the pork tenderloin in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the pork, ensuring it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably 4 to 6 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking dish with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  4. Prepare the Pork: Remove the pork from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Place the tenderloin in the prepared baking dish and pour the remaining marinade over it.
  5. Roast the Pork: Roast in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Baste halfway through with the marinade from the dish.
  6. Rest the Pork: Once cooked, remove from the oven and cover loosely with aluminum foil. Let it rest for about 10 minutes.
  7. Slice and Serve: Slice the pork into 1/2-inch thick pieces. Arrange on a platter and drizzle with any remaining sauce. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
  8. Pair with Sides: Serve with steamed rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.

Notes

  • For best flavor, marinate the pork overnight.
  • Adjust the cooking time based on the size of the tenderloin.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
