Enjoy these delicious Crescent Roll Apple Dumplings, where tart apple wedges are enveloped in flaky crescent dough, baked until golden, and topped with a sweet, bubbly sauce. Ideal for dessert or a sweet breakfast treat!

- 2 cans of refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 medium-sized apples (preferably Granny Smith)
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 cup of Mountain Dew (or any lemon-lime soda)
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter (1 stick)
- Optional: Vanilla ice cream for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Wash and peel the apples. Core and cut them into 8 wedges each.
- In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
- Roll each apple wedge in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until well coated. Set aside.
- Open the crescent roll dough and separate it into 16 triangles.
- Place one apple wedge at the wide end of a crescent roll triangle and roll it up, tucking the point underneath. Repeat for all apple wedges.
- Place the rolled dumplings seam-side down in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Pour the melted butter mixture evenly over the dumplings.
- Pour the Mountain Dew over the dumplings without mixing.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and apples are tender.
- Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
- Serve warm, drizzled with the buttery sauce, and optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
